Sponge Liner Project for Precision Instrument Packaging (Electronics Client in the Pearl River Delta)
In March 2025, a precision electronics enterprise based in the Pearl River Delta reached out to Jinyili, with a demand for custom polyurethane sponge liners featuring high density, shock resistance, eco-friendliness and zero peculiar odor for high-end testing instruments. The client's pain points were very clear: the internal components of the instruments are extremely delicate and prone to collision damage during bumpy transportation; ordinary sponges suffer from unstable density, particle shedding and weak compression resistance, which cannot pass the factory delivery inspection. In addition, the order covers multiple specifications with medium batch volume and tight delivery schedule, requiring sample delivery within 7 days and mass production delivery within 15 days.
Jinyili's technical team quickly aligned with the client's drawings, and recommended a 35kg/m³ high-density resilient sponge based on the structural characteristics of the instrument to strike a perfect balance between supporting performance and cushioning performance. By adopting dust-free CNC cutting, the dimensional tolerance is controlled within ±0.5mm with smooth cuts and no debris shedding. Eco-friendly polyurethane is selected as the raw material with no residual odor, fully complying with environmental protection requirements. The sample was confirmed after only 2 rounds of prototyping. During mass production, relying on the self-owned integrated foaming and processing production line with a daily output of 2,000 sets of liners, the delivery was completed on schedule.
The client's post-usage feedback shows that there has been zero damage in half a year of transportation, no peculiar odor when unpacking, and the sponge liner has a high fitting degree that effectively protects precision components. Subsequently, the client entrusted Jinyili with all the liners for its full range of instruments, with an average monthly repurchase of 120,000 pieces, making the two parties stable long-term cooperative partners. This project demonstrates Jinyili's comprehensive strengths in high-density material development, CNC cutting technology and eco-safety assurance.
